MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- David DiLeo scored 24 points with six 3-pointers, Larry Austin Jr. scored 23 and Central Michigan filled the stat sheet with a 123-76 win over NAIA-member Indiana South Bend on Sunday.

The Chippewas tied a program record with their 11th nonconference victory of the season, extended their win streak to five and remained undefeated at home (7-0).

DiLeo was 9-of-12 shooting including 6 of 9 from long range and collected five rebounds. Austin was 8 of 11 from the field with eight assists, six rebounds and three steals. Matt Beachler scored 18 points, Dallas Morgan 17, Robert Montgomery 16, Romelo Burrell 11 and Shawn Roundtree 10 with 11 assists.

The Chippewas (11-2) were 43 of 67 (64.2 percent) from the field including 16 of 33 (48.5) from 3-point range. Their shooting percentage from the field topped their percentage at the foul line where they missed 13 of 34 (61.8).

Miles Tracy scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Dylan Allen scored 18 for Indiana South Bend.

Miami 70, Evansville 67

OXFORD, Ohio -- Sophomore Dalonte Brown and freshman Mekhi Lairy combined to score 30 points and Miami (Ohio) held off Evansville 70-67 on Sunday.

Bam Bowman finished with eight points and a career-high 13 rebounds, including a career-best seven off the offensive glass, to help Miami end a four-game slide in a series Evansville leads 11-5.

The RedHawks (8-5) shot just 38 percent from the field (24 of 63) and 6 of 23 from 3-point range (26 percent). Miami owned the boards by a 44-30 margin that included a 17-3 advantage on the offensive end that allowed the RedHawks to get off 14 more shots.

Shea Feehan sank two 3-pointers in the final 5:20 of the first half to help the Purple Aces (6-7) take a 35-31 lead at intermission. Miami didn't lead after the 14:15 mark of first half until Bowman hit two free throws with 13:51 remaining in the game for a 43-42 lead. Lairy's jumper gave Miami a 66-64 lead with 3:04 to go, but the RedHawks didn't wrap up the win until Bowman scored on a rebound basket with less than a minute to play and K.J. Riley missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Riley topped the Purple Aces with 20 points. He made 6 of 12 shots from the floor, but just 8 of 13 at the foul line. Feehan scored 16.

Akron 82, Carnegie Mellon 55

AKRON, Ohio -- Daniel Utomi had 22 points and six rebounds and Akron defeated Division III Carnegie Mellon 82-55 on Sunday.

Utomi made 5 of 9 3-point tries. Jimond Ivey had 11 points and seven assists for the Zips (8-5). Channel Banks scored 13 points and Tyler Cheese added 12 for Akron, which shot 49 percent and made 11 of 30 from the arc.

Cooper Williams led the Tartans with 12 points and Trent Suddeth had a team-high six rebounds.

Akron led 43-27 at halftime and the Zips' biggest lead was 72-42 with about eight minutes left in the game.

The Zips committed only seven turnovers and forced 17 by the Tartans, which led to 24 Akron points. Akron made just 9 of 19 free throws.

Ohio 68, FIU 66

ATHENS, Ohio -- Jason Carter's putback with 2.6 seconds left gave Ohio a 68-66 victory over Florida International on Sunday despite blowing a 12-point second-half lead.

FIU (9-4) took its first lead after Trejon Jacob capped an 11-0 run with a basket to go up 54-53 with 8:19 to go. The lead then changed hands eight times with the Panthers ahead by three after Osasumwen Osaghae's layup with 3:06 left but they wouldn't score again after four misses and a turnover. Kirk scored before Carter tied it with a free throw with 1:06 remaining. Kirk missed a jumper but Carter got the rebound basket.

The Bobcats (8-4), improved to 7-0 at home by shooting 51 percent and surviving 23 turnovers against the nation's leader in turnovers forced while outrebounding FIU 44-27.

Carter finished with 19 points on 8-of 11 shooting, Kirk added 18 points with both grabbing nine rebounds. Doug Taylor added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Jason Preston 11 points.

Brian Beard Jr. scored 13 points and Devon Andrews 11 for FIU which was 7 of 36 from the arc after going 1 of 17 in the second half. FIU came in averaging 95.6 points a game, second in the nation.

Bowling Green 94, UT Martin 80

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Caleb Fields scored 24 points, Demajeo Wiggins scored 20 with 13 rebounds and Bowling Green beat UT Martin 94-80 on Sunday.

Bowling Green's Dylan Frye buried a jumper to tie it at 24-all with 7:07 left before halftime. Wiggins followed with a 3-point play, made 1 of 2 free throws and a layup, and that scoring outburst propelled Bowling Green as they outscored the Skyhawks 27-9.

The Falcons (8-5) led 49-33 at halftime and were up by double digits the rest of the way. Wiggins made a pair of free throws with 9:10 remaining and Bowling Green led 81-54.

Antwon Lillard scored 14 with four rebounds and Justin Turner scored 12 with six rebounds and six assists. The Falcons made 14 of 31 from 3-point range.

Quintin Dove led UT Martin with 20 points and five rebounds, Preston Parks and Parrish Hewitt each scored 15 and Delfincko Bogan scored 10.

Western Michigan 73, UC Riverside 64

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Sophomore Michael Flowers finished with 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists and Western Michigan turned back UC Riverside 73-64 on Sunday.

Flowers scored half of his points at the free-throw line, sinking 12 of 13 attempts. Fellow sophomore Kawanise Wilkins notched his first double-double for the Broncos (6-7) with 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Seth Dugan pitched in with 14 points, five boards and three assists.

Ajani Kennedy, also a sophomore, topped the Highlanders (5-10) with a career-best 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Dikymbe Martin added 16 points and six rebounds and reserve Jordan Gilliam scored 10.

UC Riverside led just once in the game at 4-2. Flowers and William Boyer-Richard nailed back-to-back 3-pointers to give Western Michigan an 8-4 lead and the Broncos stayed in front the rest of the way. The Highlanders pulled within 69-62 on a Gilliam 3-pointer with 40 seconds remaining, but Wilkins hit two free throws and Dugan scored on a dunk to cap the scoring.

It was the first meeting between the schools. Riverside fell to 0-8 away from home this season.
