Ball State 47, Butler 64  // Box Score
Sophomore guard Maliah Howard-Bass logged her fourth-straight double-digit performance as she led the Cardinals in scoring with 11 points.  Ball State (2-6) fell to in-state rival Butler (6-0) by a score of 64-47 Sunday afternoon in Hinkle Fieldhouse. The Bulldogs started the contest with an aggressive style of defensive play over the Cardinals, resulting in a 9-1 run for Butler. Ball State was held to only one field goal in the first quarter which was a 3-pointer from Howard-Bass at the 4:54 mark. Butler would finish the first frame ahead, 13-5.

Central Michigan 67, Quinnipiac 52 // Box Score
In the grand scheme of things, it was simply a nonconference road game in December. But it felt like more than that, and it perhaps tastes a little sweeter than most. Presley Hudson scored 25 points, Micaela Kelly had 16, and Reyna Frost added 13 on Sunday as the Central Michigan women's basketball team handed Quinnipiac a 67-52 loss on the Bobcats' home court, Peoples United Center.

Kent State 55, Wright State 61  // Box Score
Both teams shot below 30-percent as Kent State dropped a 61-55 contest to Wright State on Sunday afternoon at the Nutter Center. The Golden Flashes (3-4) held the Raiders, the No. 21 mid-major team in the country, to just 19-for-65 shooting overall and 1-for-12 from beyond the three-point arc. However, Wright State was able to grab 22 offensive rebounds and convert them into 17 second-chance points.

Northern Illinois 98, Nevada 69 // Box Score
The Northern Illinois University women's basketball team shot a season-high 56.7 percent from the field and 60 percent from the three-point line Sunday in a 98-69 win over the Nevada Wolf Pack at the Lady Griz Classic at Dahlberg Arena. Courtney Woods (Brisbane, Australia/St. Margaret's) led all scorers with 28 points, going 10-for-14 from the field and 4-for-5 from the three-point line. She was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 23 points per game in NIU's two games. Mikayla Voigt (Slinger, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) made five three-pointers on her way to a season-high 21 points
