Junior Andrea Cecil scored a career-high 30 points, and senior point guard Sydney Lambertwent 6-for-6 at the free-throw line down the stretch as the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team defeated the University of Detroit Mercy, 79-73, Monday night (Dec. 17). The eventful non-conference game was held at the Stroh Center. Cecil had a double-double for the Falcons (5-4), as she was one of three players to pull down 11 rebounds on the night.

Kent State 76, St. Bonaventure 64 // Box Score
All five starters scored at least eaight points to help Kent State secure a wire-to-wire victory over St. Bonaventure, 76-64, Monday night inside of the Reilly Center. The Golden Flashes have now won back-to-back road games. Kent State (5-4) posted its highest-scoring game of the season, as all nine players who played entered the scoring column. The Flashes shot 28-for-54 from the field for a season-best 51.9 percent and registered a season-best 15 assists.

Northern Illinois 78, Eastern Illinois 59 // Box Score
The Northern Illinois University won consecutive games for the first time this season Monday night after a 78-59 victory over the Eastern Illinois Panthers at the NIU Convocation Center. The Huskies outscored the Panthers 30-13 in the third quarter to erase a three-point halftime deficit. "I thought the second half was much better than the first," said head coach Lisa Carlsen. "Defensively, we were able to string some stops together. We're a lot better in the open court when we can create space and share the basketball, and not have to play in the half court all the time."
