The Bowling Green State University volleyball program pick up a second three-set victory this week after defeating Northern Illinois on the road on Saturday, Nov. 3. Miami were defeated by Western Michigan in five sets, meaning the Falcons move to first place in the MAC standings with two matches left two play in the regular season.

Buffalo 3, Ohio 0 // Box Score
The University at Buffalo volleyball team capped off a tremendous weekend on Saturday night as the Bulls swept the Ohio Bobcats for the first time, picking up the 3-0 victory. The Bulls have clinched a spot in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament with the win as UB improves to 8-6 in league play and 16-10 overall. The 16 wins are the most for Buffalo in the Blair Brown Lipsitz era. UB took the contest, 25-14, 25-11, 25-20, as Buffalo hit .343 for the night opposed to just .053 for the Bobcats. In the first two sets, UB hit .455 as it had just two combined errors on 66 total attacks.

Central Michigan 3, Toledo 0 // Box Score
One weekend, two matches, and a major step for the Central Michigan volleyball program. The Chippewas downed Toledo, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23, in a Mid-American Conference match on Saturday at McGuirk Arena. It was CMU's second three-set sweep of a MAC foe in as many days. The Chippewas, who have won four of their last five matches after losing their first nine in the MAC, improved to 7-19, 4-10 MAC. Toledo is 9-16, 4-10.

Eastern Michigan 3, Ball State 2 // Box Score
The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team came out on top, 3-2, in a thriller of a battle with Ball State University Saturday, Nov. 3 in the Convocation Center. In the final home match of their Eagle careers, redshirt senior Mallory Rajewski (Midland, Mich.-Midland) and seniors Jordan Smith (Solon, Iowa-Solon) and Alyssa LaFace (Allen Park, Mich.-Allen Park) shone bright, defeating Ball State for the first time since 2015. Smith highlighted the Senior Day performance, pounding out 18 kills while hitting .385 for the match. Rajewski distributed 40 assists and added eight digs, while LaFace led the Eagles with 18 digs.

Kent State earned its first season sweep of rival Akron since 2015 with a 3-2 (25-21, 19-25, 25-15, 15-25, 15-12) victory on Saturday at James A. Rhodes Arena. The victory gives the Golden Flashes the full point in the Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge. The Golden Flashes (13-15, 6- MAC) also clinched a spot in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament with Toledo's loss to Central Michigan.

Western Michigan 3, Miami 2 // Box Score
Western Michigan volleyball overcame a 6-1 deficit in the fifth set to defeat Mid-American Conference east division leader Miami in a five-set thriller (25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-13) on Saturday night inside University Arena. Miami raced out to an early 6-1 lead in the fifth set before the Broncos rallied back with a 9-1 run midway through to tie the set at 9-9. After trading points, WMU and Miami were tied at 12-12 before sophomore Rachel Bontrager earned her 11th kill of the night to give WMU a one-point lead.
