AMHERST, N.Y. -- CJ Massinburg scored 21 points, Jayvon Graves added 16 and No. 22 Buffalo overcame a slow start to beat Marist 76-49 on Saturday.
Massinburg returned after missing one game with a sprained knee and shot 7 of 10 from the field with six 3-pointers in 25 minutes off the bench.
Jeremy Harris had eight assists and Nick Perkins pulled down seven rebounds for the Bulls in their second blowout victory at home.
Buffalo found its 3-point range, making 16 of 32 from beyond the arc after shooting below 28 percent from deep over its first four games.
Ryan Funk and Austin Williams each scored 10 points to lead Marist (1-4).
Marist led early while Buffalo struggled with turnovers and scored on only seven of its first 21 possessions. Buffalo pulled ahead with a 10-2 run and outscored Marist 23-7 over the final nine minutes of the first half to build a double-digit lead.
Ball State 82, Evansville 72

MUNCIE, Ind. -- K.J. Walton had 20 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots to lead Ball State to an 82-72 victory over Evansville on Saturday afternoon.
Tahjai Teague added 17 points with eight rebounds. Kyle Mallers scored all 17 of his points in the second half. Tayler Persons chipped in nine points while dishing out nine assists for Ball State (3-3).
Walton was 8 of 9 from the floor for 19 points in the first half. Teague added nine as the two combined for 12 of BSU's field goals in the first half.
Ball State finished the first half on a 22-10 run to take a 37-26 lead into the break. Evansville's Shea Feehan nailed a 3 to close to 79-68 with 2:53 remaining but the Purple Aces could get no closer until John Hall scored a layup for the final score.
Feehan hit 4 from deep to total 19 points. Hall and Marty Hill chipped in 10 apiece for Evansville (2-3).
Ohio 85, Austin Peay 82

ATHENS, Ohio -- Jason Carter scored 25 points with 10 rebounds and Teyvion Kirk had 24 points and 10 boards and Ohio beat Austin Peay 85-82 in overtime on Saturday.
The Bobcats trailed 82-77 with 1:46 left in overtime when Austin Peay stalled, allowing two free throws each by Kirk and Gavin Block and a layup by Carter to give Ohio (2-2) the lead for good.
Block finished with 11 points and Antonio Cowart Jr. had 10 points with six rebounds.
The Bobcats had a 42-28 advantage at the break but the Governors (2-3) rallied early in the second half, tying it 56-all midway then going ahead 59-56 on a 3-point play by Chris Porter-Bunton with 8:37 left. The lead changed hands 11 times after that until Austin Peay's Dayton Gumm hit a jumper to tie it 77-all with three seconds left, forcing overtime.
Porter-Bunton scored 16 points with five rebounds and three steals for the Governors. Gumm and Zach Glotta added 15 points apiece.
Miami 85, Army 55

OXFORD, Ohio -- Bam Bowman and Dalonte Brown each scored 18 points and grabbed a combined 17 rebounds as Miami of Ohio walloped Army, 85-55 in a nonconference game on Saturday.
Bowman put the Redhawks in front for good with a layup four minutes in and it turned into a double-digit advantage four minutes after that. Miami held an 18-point lead going into the final minute of the first half, but Alex King and Tommy Funk each scored at the basket to cut it to 40-26 at intermission.
Miami held a decisive edge on the boards, outrebounding the Black Knights 49-33.
The Redhawks (2-3) hit 32 of 65 shots from the field (49.2 percent), including 10 of 29 from distance. Nike Sibande scored 17 points, hitting 4 of 9 shots from deep.
Jordan Fox scored 15 points for Army (2-4), with Matt Wilson adding another 10.
The game was the Redhawks' annual Give Back Game, where fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Oxford Choice Food Pantry.
James Madison 78, Northern Illinois 74

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Darius Banks scored 17 points, Stuckey Mosley added 17 with four 3-pointers and James Madison shot 12 of 26 from distance to beat Northern Illinois 78-74 on Saturday at the Oakland Hoops Challenge.
Matt Lewis hit four 3s and scored 16 points with four assists and made a go-ahead jumper with 17 seconds left for the Dukes (5-2), who shot 48 percent to NIU's 51 percent but made 16 of 17 free throws. Dwight Wilson added 11 points.
Lacey James' free throw snapped a 50-all tie and NIU led by as many as six, but the Dukes made three straight shots and closed to 70-69 on Banks' layup, then led 74-72 on Lewis' free throw with 1:50 to go. Levi Bradley's jumper tied it, but Lewis hit a jumper in the paint and Mosley's free throws with two seconds left iced it.
Eugene German scored 17 points with four assists and James added 15 points for Northern Illinois (3-2), who outscored the Dukes 32-26 in the paint.
Nicholls 62, Western Michigan 61

NICEVILLE, Fla. -- Gavin Peppers, after not scoring in the first half, put up 22 points including the game-winner in overtime and Nicholls State defeated Western Michigan 62-61 in the championship game of the Visitors bracket on Saturday.
Seth Dugan scored all six of WMU's overtime points including the Broncos' final basket with 2:43 left for a three-point lead before Pepper drove the lane twice including a final basket with 22 seconds remaining. WMU (4-3) missed two shots in the final seconds.
The Colonels (4-4) trailed by nine early in the second before tying the game on a Danny Garrick 3-pointer with 12:48 left in regulation. WMU's Josh Davis sent the game into overtime at 55-all with a basket with 24 seconds left.
Garrick scored 12 points and Elvis Harvey 10 for Nicholls State.
Dugan had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Davis 10 points and 10 rebounds while Michael Flowers added 17 points.
Detroit Mercy 78, Eastern Michigan 74

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Freshman Antoine Davis knocked down six 3-pointers and scored a team-high 24 points as Detroit Mercy won its third straight game, holding off in-state rival Eastern Michigan, 78-74 on Saturday afternoon.
Davis now has six 20-point games in his six-game collegiate career and entered the game averaging 31.2 points per game. He matched Paris Bass' record of six-straight 20-point games to start his career. He has four 30-plus performances and scored 42 in the win over Loyola Maryland.
Ty Groce hit two free throws with 1:15 left go get Eastern Michigan within two, 71-69, but Cole Long knocked down a 3 and Lamar Hamrick dunked to push the lead to 76-69 and Davis capped his performance with two free throws.
Davis hit 8 of 23 from the floor, including 6 of 12 from beyond the 3-point arc, and posted career highs for rebounds and assists, both with seven. Josh McFolley added 20 points for the Titans (3-3).
James Thompson IV scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Eagles (4-3). Boubacar Toure added 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
