Akron 85, Oakland 65 // Box Score
Redshirt senior Megan Sefcik (Austintown, Ohio) scored a season- and game-high 23 points and nailed five three-pointers en route to a 20-point victory as the Akron women's basketball team defeated Oakland, 85-65, in game one of the Kent State Classic on Saturday afternoon in the M.A.C. Center. Akron picked up its second straight win (2-0) and earned its first win over the Golden Grizzlies (1-2) in program history.

Ball State 54, Missouri State 74 // Box Score
The Ball State women's basketball team (1-2) suffered a 74-54 loss to Missouri State (1-2) in its first road game of the season Saturday afternoon at JQH Arena. For the game, sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown led the Cardinals in scoring with 16 points, while adding nine rebounds.  Senior guard Jasmin Samzscored in double figures for the second-straight game after ending the day with 10 points.

Bowling Green 61, Robert Morris 60 // Box Score
Freshman Kadie Hempfling's reverse layup with 1.0 seconds remaining lifted the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team to a 61-60 win over Robert Morris University on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 17) at the Stroh Center. Hempfling's bucket marked the only time the Falcons (2-1) led in the entire second half. The Falcons had trailed by as many as nine points late in the third quarter.

Central Michigan 108, Western Kentucky 90 // Box Score
Five players in double figures, 16 3-pointers, 108 total points. The Central Michigan women's basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 108-90 victory over Western Kentucky before 1,696 on Saturday at McGuirk Arena.

Eastern Michigan 50, Illinois State 41 // Box Score
The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team maintained its perfect start to the 2018-19 campaign with a gritty 50-41 victory over Illinois State University, Saturday, Nov. 17, inside the Convocation Center. The Eagles (2-0) knocked the Redbirds (1-2) off their perch for the first time after dropping the previous four head-to-head meetings. Sophomore Courtnie Lewis (Belton, Mo.-Belton) paced the Green and White with 16 points and tied for the team-lead with a pair of blocks, while redshirt senior Danielle Minott (Miami, Fla.-Miami Country Day (Syracuse)) added 13 points, eight rebounds, and a team-best three steals. Sophomore Juanita Agosto, (Seattle Wa.-Garfield) logged six points and seven boards and redshirt senior Lorraine Enaubulele (Ajax, Ontario, Canada-Notre Dame) dominated in the post with a career-best 11 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass.

Kent State 62, Northern Kentucky 61 // Box Score
Senior Alexa Golden sank the go-ahead basket with under a minute remaining as Kent State held on to beat Northern Kentucky, 62-61, in the home opener on Saturday's first day of the Kent State Classic at the M.A.C. Center. The Golden Flashes (1-2) relied on their veterans down the stretch after having a seven-point lead early in the final period turned into a three-point deficit at the 3:46 mark following a 13-3 NKU run. After Golden's jumper with 56.5 to play, the defense got back-to-back stops and junior Ali Poole made a pair of free throws with 6.0 on the clock. NKU hit a three-pointer with 0.6 left to account for the final score.
