Paulina Nogaj, Akron
Sophomore, Radom, Poland
Sophomore Paulina Nogaj swept all individual events she competed in, helping Akron to a 164-136 win over Buffalo. Nogaj earned three individual wins as she swam the 200 individual medley (2:03.29), 200 freestyle (1:51.87) and 100 butterfly (53.92). She improved her time in the 100 butterfly, which currently ranks 17th in the nation. Nogaj also holds the top times in the MAC in all three events.

Junior Izzy Herb swept the butterfly events as Miami dominated Marshall by a 228-72 margin on Saturday. Herb won the 200 fly (2:01.66) by over two seconds, also setting a new season-best for the Miami squad. She also won the 100 fly (56.29) by 0.9 seconds. Herb was part of the winning 400 free relay squad (3:31.26), beating the second place team by almost two seconds. She also swam a leg on the top RedHawk 200 medley relay team (1:46.68). Herb contributed to 33 points earned by Miami.
Katie Walker, Ball State

True freshman Katie Walker recorded a career best in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:35.56 on Friday, which also won her first place in the event. She followed up that performance with a 2nd place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:14.02. Walker also competed in the 200 Fly and 400 Free Relay on the day.
Duda Sales, Toledo

Junior Duda Sales earned two individual victories and contributed to a third in UT’s Friday dual against Eastern Michigan. Sales started the day by helping UT’s 200 medley relay “A” team take third in 1:46.80; She contributed a 25.41 split as the third swimmer in the order. Sales’ first victory of the day came in the 200 fly where the Santo Andre, Brazil native touched in at 2:05.89, almost a full second ahead of EMU’s Emilie Desnoyers (2:06.60) and one second away from being a personal record. Sales’ second victory came in the 100 fly where she finished in 56.15, three seconds ahead of the official second place finisher and more than a second ahead of EMU’s Kylie Sutherlin (x57.53). Sales’ final contribution came in the 400 free relay where UT’s “A” team touched in first at 3:37.16; Sales had a split of 25.46/53.57 as the second swimmer in the order.
Casey Gavigan, Eastern Michigan
Junior, East Setauket, N.Y.-Ward Melville
EMU junior Casey Gavigan earned top finishes in the 100 and 200 Backstroke, as the Eagles earned their 14th-consecutive Mid-American Conference dual meet win, besting the Toledo Rockets, 156-112, Friday, Oct. 26. The East Setauket, N.Y. native touched in with her season-best times of 56.00 in the 100 Back and 2:02.15 in the 200 Back, surpassing her event-winning times last week against Denison. Gavigan now owns four top finishers on the season, sweeping the backstroke events in all meets the Eagles have competed in so far.
