MAC Defensive player of the Week
Mariona Heras, Miami
back/midfielder, R-Senior, Terrassa, Catalonia (IES Terrassa)
Mariona Heras led Miami's dominant defense yet again, allowing only one shot and zero corners in the conference shutout win on Sunday. Heras' defense allowed Ohio inside the 25 limited times, helping Miami keep the pressure on in the offensive end. Heras also scored the game-winning goal for the RedHawks.
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Noor Breedijk, Miami
Midfielder/forward, Freshman, Eindhoven, Netherlands (Novalis College)
Noor Breedijk was critical in the Miami offense this weekend, gaining key possessions all over the field. She was able to earn multiple corners for the RedHawks. Her presence helped Miami not only keep pressure inside the 25 but also limit the opposition's entry into the RedHawk defense. Breedijk's goal in the first half was a key insurance goal for Miami en route to the shutout victory.

Clara Rodriguez Setó, Kent State
Back, Sophomore, Barcelona, Spain
A steady defensive leader for Kent State, Clara Rodriguez Seto helped hold both Appalachian State and Louisville to just 7 shots on goal in the contest. Instrumental to the Kent State defense, the Barcelona, Spain native created key turnovers and defensive plays and has consistently delivered as the inserter on penalty corners. On the season, the back has tallied 5 goals, 7 assists, and 4 defensive saves in her 1,273 minutes of play.
Annette Jarosz, Appalachian State
Midfielder, Sophomore, Elkridge, Maryland
Jarosz concluded her final pair of games of the regular season with two defensive saves, one in each contest. The sophomore entered the weekend tied for first in the category in the conference, and her two defensive saves would move her into a tie for second in the NCAA with six defensive saves. Jarosz played all 140 minutes for the Mountaineers, tallying 70 or more minutes in a game 16 times out of 18 games this season. The Elkridge, Maryland native also moved into second place in Mountaineers' history with 11 defensive saves in her career.
Emma Bressler, Kent State
Back, Sophomore, Reading, PA
Sophomore Emma Bressler was instrumental for the Kent State attack in its 3-1 victory over Appalachian State, netting the first goal of the game. Providing an early 1-0 lead in the 16th minute, Bressler gathered the ball on a penalty corner and fired it past the goalkeeper from the top of the circle. The Reading, Pa. native further led the team, recording the assist on Kent State's goal against ranked Louisville. A key player on attack penalty corners, Emma has great stick skills and distribution and has netted five goals and has recorded two assists on the season.
Veerle Van Heertum, Appalachian State
Midfielder, Sophomore, Valkenswaard, Netherlands (SG Weredi)
Van Heertum closed the season by recording at least one point in five of her final six games. The sophomore notched Appalachian's first goal against Bucknell. Van Heertum finished the regular season with 22 points, nine goals and 43 points, all of which rank first on the team.
