MAC Announces Largest National Basketball TV Schedule in Conference History
CLEVELAND, Ohio– The Mid-American Conference announced the largest national basketball television schedule in conference history today. The extensive package features coverage of 50 MAC basketball contests that will be televised nationally on linear platforms in 2018-19. The national package includes games that will be aired on ESPN2, ESPNU & CBS Sports Network (CBSSN).
The MAC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championship First Round & Quarterfinal games will be available on ESPN3 and ESPN+, the first-ever multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International group and ESPN,all available via the ESPN App. For the third consecutive year, the MAC Men’s Basketball Semifinal games as well as the MAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship Game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network/CBSSports.com. The Men’s Basketball Championship game will air live on Saturday, March 16th at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
In addition, all 12 MAC institutions will be participating in the league’s school content production program with ESPN. Each institution will provide a minimum of 35 athletic events as part of the agreement. Those games will appear exclusively on ESPN3 or ESPN+.
All games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.
