Eastern Michigan Men // EMU Fall Classic
The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team closed out its regular season Friday, Oct. 19 as it hosted the annual EMU Fall Classic in Dexter, Mich. Leading the way for Eastern was freshman Joe Ingram (Cincinnati, Ohio-Anderson) and sophomore Hayelom Fitsum (Denver, Colo.-Denver School of Science and Technology), who placed 27th and 28th with times of 16:11.4 and 16:12.6, respectively. Freshman Craig Thompson (South Haven, Mich.-South Haven) finished 30th overall, while sophomores Ian Cook (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington), Phoenix Myers(Wattsburg, Pa.-Seneca), and freshman Ronald Brandal (Huron, Ohio-Huron) rounded out the Eagles with placements of 31st, 33rd, and 41st, respectively.

Eastern Michigan Women // EMU Fall Classic
The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team concluded its 2018 regular season slate as it hosted the annual EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 19 in Dexter, Mich. Freshmen Olivia Chandler (Brighton, Mich.-Brighton) and Lexi Seifert (Waterford, Pa.-Villa Maria Academy) led Eastern with personal-best 5k times of 19:08.0 and 19:08.3, which warranted 38th and 39th-place finishes, respectively. Freshman Emily DeLine (Newport, Mich.-Airport) was the third Eagle to cross the finish line, clocking in at 19:20.2 to place 43rd, while sophomore Kayla Mayer (Hilliard, Ohio-Hilliard Darby)and junior Jocelyn Sharpe (Westerville, Ohio-Westerville North) rounded out the EMU harriers with times of 20:11.7 and 21:01.9, crossing 52nd and 61st, respectively.

Northern Illinois // Illini Open
Four members of the Northern Illinois University cross country team competed in the Illini Open on Friday evening. Sophomore Meagan Biddle (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) was the highest finishing of the Huskie quartet with a time of 19:36.4 over the six kilometer course. Biddle was the first of the Huskies across the line, finishing 33rd overall, just ahead of sophomore Maggie Cavanaugh (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) who finished 34th in a time of 19:38.1. Sophomore Ryan Block (Knoxville, Ill./Knoxville) finished in a time of 21:25.6 to take 64th while sophomore Sarah Virgo (Verona, Ill./Seneca) claimed 67th in a time of 22:24.2. With just four runners competing, NIU did not factor in the team scoring.

Toledo // EMU Fall Classic
The Toledo women's cross country team took third with 91 points in the team standings at the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic on Friday. Sophomore Riley Kwiatkowski took 25th place with a time of 18:38.6. Junior Amanda Bakley placed 32nd (18:56.4) with freshman Megan Burmeisterfollowing close behind at 34th (18:58.3).
