MAC Women's Golfer of the Week
Natcha Daengpiem, Toledo

Senior, Chon Buri, Thailand (Piboonbumpen Demonstration School)

Senior Natcha Daengpiem captured her first collegiate tournament title on Monday after posting a career-best four-under par 212 (71-66-75) at the MAC Preview. Daengpiem's performance propelled the Rockets to a second-place showing in the team standings as UT finished just two strokes behind champion Xavier at 21-over par 885.

Daengpiem carded a one-under 71 in Sunday's opening round before tallying a career-low 66 (the second lowest in school history) in the afternoon at the par-72, 5,991-yard Purgatory Golf Club. Daengpiem opened her remarkable round on the 10th hole and tallied birdies on No. 11, 12 and 13. After posting one bogey and nine pars over her next 10 holes, Daengpiem caught fire. She birdied No. 6, aced the par-three, 117-yard No. 7 hole and then birdied No. 8.

In the final round, Daengpiem overcame cold and windy conditions to register a three-over 75. That round matched the third-lowest of the day and gave her a three-stroke victory.

Daengpiem led the tournament in par-four scoring at even-par and tied for first in par-five scoring at three-under.
Other Nominees

Bria Colosky, Central Michigan
Senior, Farwell, Mich. (Farwell)

Colosky closed with a 1-under 71 under brutally cold and windy conditions at the MAC Fall Preview at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind. Her 71 was the low round of the day, and four shots better than the tournament winner. It was Colosky's second consecutive sub-par round, the first time a CMU golfer has accomplished that feat since the program's resurrection before the 2014-15 season. Colosky's 36-hole 144 and her 54-hole 215 were both program records, and her second-place individual finish was the best by a CMU golfer since 1981. Colosky led CMU to a third-place finish in the 12-team field that included eight MAC teams. CMU finished in front of six of its league brethren. The Chippewas set program records for team 18-hole score (twice), 36-hole score and 54-hole score in the tournament.

Catherine Loftus, Ohio
Freshman, Roswell, Ga. (Saline)

Freshman Catherine Loftus led Ohio this past week at the 2018 MAC Fall Preview, hosted by Central Michigan at the  5,991-yard Purgatory Golf Club. Loftus finished tied for 15th place after opening the tournament be shooting back-to-back rounds of 72 on Sunday. She then came back on Monday to record an 83, giving her a three-round total of 227 (+11). Loftus' performance helped the Bobcats tie for 8th place with an overall score of 930 (+66).

Penelope Guilleux, Eastern Michigan
Senior, Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval

Senior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) posted the lowest three round tally of her season with a 226 (70-77-79) to claim a tie for 12th at MAC Fall Preview, Oct. 15. The top 15 showing was her seventh in 28 career events. It was also Guilleux's third top-20 finish in three all-time tournaments at Purgatory after finishing 15th at the 2016 MAC Championships and 19th at the 2015 Fall Preview. She'll get another chance at the course this spring when the 2019 Mid-American Conference Championships are held there.
