Ball State 3, Kent State 0 // Box Score
Led by another dominating offensive performance, the Ball State women's volleyball team picked up its sixth straight win with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-18) sweep of Kent State Saturday night in Mid-American Conference play at Worthen Arena. The Cardinals (16-5; 7-1 MAC) could not be stopped on offense starting with a kill from junior middle Sydnee VanBeek on the opening serve. BSU went on to hit an astonishing .483 (15-1-29) in the opening set and finished the match with its fourth-best mark of the season at .360 (49-9-111).

Bowling Green 3, Eastern Michigan 1 // Box Score
The Bowling Green State University volleyball program defeated the Eastern Michigan Eagles in a four-set match on Saturday, Oct. 13. The Falcons exit the Convocation Center with a 7-1 record in the Mid-American Conference, and 13-8 overall.

Buffalo 3, Northern Illinois 2 // Box Score
Despite the huge statistical difference on Saturday night, it was a tight five-set affair for the University at Buffalo volleyball team, but the Bulls prevailed with a 3-2 win over Northern Illinois, their second straight victory.  UB's win improved it to 12-8 on the season and 4-4 in MAC play. The Bulls took the contest 19-25, 25-13, 21-25, 25-12, 17-15 as UB outhit NIU, .233 to .174.  Buffalo held an 82-60 advantage in points, a 62-48 lead in kills and an 81-64 lead in digs, but it still came down to a tightly fought fifth set.

Miami 3, Central Michigan 1 // Box Score
The Miami University volleyball team completed the first half of Mid-American Conference play with a solid 3-1 (28-26, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20) victory over Central Michigan Saturday evening. With their fifth straight win, the RedHawks improve to 15-5 overall and 7-1 in the MAC. The Chippewas fall to 3-17 overall and 0-8 in the MAC. The middle hitters led the Miami attack in the victory. Junior middle hitter Margaret Payne had a huge night with 17 kills and four blocks. She made only three errors in 31 attempts for a .452 attack percentage. Freshman middle hitter Corinne Jemison contributed 12 kills and three blocks (two solo) and had a .333 attack percentage.

Toledo 3, Ohio 2 // Box Score
The University of Toledo women's volleyball team defeated Ohio on Saturday night in five sets, improving its overall record to 8-11 (3-5 MAC). The Rockets won sets one and three, while the Bobcats took the second and fourth frames. With the match on the line, UT came out on top in the final set to secure the win on its home floor.

Western Michigan 3, Akron 0 // Box Score
Western Michigan volleyball capped off the weekend with its sixth sweep of the season, defeating Akron in three sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-21) on Saturday night inside University Arena. As a team the Broncos were balanced offensively, registering a .317 attack percentage with two Broncos reaching double digit kills.
