The University of Akron redshirt juniors Mackenzie Andrews (Toowoomba, Australia) and Tevin Brown (Toledo, Ohio) directed the efforts of the Zips' women's and men's cross country squads at the Penn State National on Friday, Oct. 12, registering team-best times of 21:24 and 26:00, respectively. The meet, which featured seven ranked men's and seven rated women's squads, served as the final tune-up before the upcoming Mid-American Conference for Akron as the Zips' men team placed 16th, while the women's squad finished 23rd.

Ball State // #JennaStrong Fall Classic
Ball State cross country entered the #JennaStrong Fall Classic with one goal, to build confidence for the upcoming Mid-American Conference Championships. The Cardinals accomplished that and more Friday afternoon at the Wilmington Cross Country Course, as seven of the team's nine runners tallied career-best 5K times to lead Ball State to a first-place finish in its final tune-up before the Oct. 27 MAC Championships hosted by Toledo.

Bowling Green // Bradley Pink Classic

It was another impressive day for the BGSU cross country programs competing at the Bradley Pink Classic. With heightened competition, the Falcons rose to the occasion and held their own in their last event before the MAC Championships. The BGSU women's team competed in a field of 298 participants representing 40 universities. Overall, the team concluded with a 22nd place finish, but were without a few runners who normally participate. The men's event saw a slightly smaller field, with 273 participants for 33 teams. Of those 33 teams, Bowling Green was able to claim a sixth place finish, placing just behind Indiana.

Buffalo // Canisius Alumni Classic | Princeton Invitational
The University at Buffalo men's and women's cross country teams were both in action this week, competing in two meets across the northeast this weekend that saw the men claiming ninth place at the Princeton Invitational with a team score of 295 points, and the women securing a victory at the Canisius Alumni Classic in Delaware park.
Central Michigan // Pre-Nationals

Women's Results
The Central Michigan women finished 30th and the men were 34th against a rugged field chock-full of ranked teams on Saturday at the Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin. The women's race comprised 36 teams, including No. 2-ranked New Mexico, which placed first. The men's race was made up of 35 teams, including top-ranked Northern Arizona, which won.

Eastern Michigan Men // Jayhawk Invitational
The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country program placed first at the Jayhawk Invitational 8k in Muskegon, Mich. Friday, Oct. 12. EMU ended with a team score of 16 points, its best final score of the season.

Eastern Michigan Women // Pre-Nationals
The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country program placed 17th at Pre-Nationals in Madison, Wis., Saturday, Oct. 13. EMU had two runners finish in the top-25, and concluded the meet with a team score of 475 points.

Kent State // Bradley Pink Classic
The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams completed the regular season at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday. Clark Bookman led the men to a 23rd place finish in the 8k race, with a 41st place individual finish (25:19.6). Alex Stamper finished in 73rd place (25:45.6).

Women's Results
Competing against one of the strongest field in the country, the Miami University cross country team put up a strong performance at the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals Saturday. The RedHawk women ran in the Cardinal heat, finishing 17th of 35 teams. Redshirt senior Alesha Vovk continued her impressive string of results this season, setting a new personal record of 21:02.4. Vovk has been the Miami women's highest finisher in each event she has competed in. Carly Davis, Maegan Murphy, Emma Bryant, and McKenna Fry rounded out the rest of the Miami scorers. Bryant and Murphy also had PRs of their own.

Northern Illinois // Bradley Pink Classic
The Northern Illinois University cross country team earned a 10th place finish on Friday afternoon at the Bradley Pink Classic on the Newman Golf Course. Sophomore Ashley Tutt(Channahon, Ill./Minooka) led the Huskies, finishing 15th overall in a time of 21:09.5.

Ohio // Penn State National
The Ohio men's and women's cross country teams return home after competing in the Penn State National Open in Pennsylvania. The Bobcat women had finished above conference opponent Akron in the 6K. The fastest time was clocked in by senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) with a time of 21:41 placing 72nd overall. The next Bobcat to cross the line was junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio) with a time of 22:11. The remaining Bobcats, junior Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio) 22:17, junior Abby Miller (Mansfield, Ohio) 22:21, sophomore Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill) 22:46, junior Tiffany Hill (Dublin, Oho) 22:49, and freshman Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio) 22:52.

Toledo // Bradly Pink Classic
The University of Toledo women's cross country team finished fifth at the Bradley Pink Classic in their second to last meet of the regular season on Friday. Junior Athena Welsh led the Rockets with a time of 20:36.1 to finish in second place. Senior Jennifer Lichter placed 36th (21.33.2), sophomore Michelle Hostettler was 45th (21.45.3), freshman Claire Steigerwald finished 50th (21:49.4), and junior Stephanie Sherman was 56th (21.49.4).

Western Michigan // Pre-Nationals
The Western Michigan women's cross country team turned in a team score of 637 and an average team time of 22:03 at the Wisconsin Pre-National 6K race Saturday, Oct. 13 to finish 24th among stiff competition. Senior Sarah Anderson led the Brown & Gold with a personal best time of 20:56, finishing 34th.
