Ball State 3, Ohio 1 // Box Score
The Ball State women's volleyball team had plenty of heroes in Friday's hard-fought 3-1 (25-20, 28-26, 20-25, 25-18) Mid-American Conference victory over Ohio in Worthen Arena. Senior outside attacker Ellie Dunn led the Cardinals (15-5; 6-1 MAC) with 19 kills and added 15 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Buffalo 3, Western Michigan 1 // Box Score
For the first time ever the University at Buffalo volleyball team picked up a win in Kalamazoo as the Bulls defeated Western Michigan, 3-1.  It was just the third ever win for the Bulls against the Broncos and the second straight year that UB has defeated WMU.  Buffalo improved to 11-8 with the win and 3-4 in league play. The Bulls took the match 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22 as UB outhit WMU, .314 to .286.  In fact, following the opening set, Buffalo hit .353 from the second set on.

Kent State 3, Toledo 1 // Box Score
Kent State held off a furious fourth-set run from host Toledo to earn a 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-19, 26-24) victory Friday evening inside of Savage Arena. The Golden Flashes (9-12, 2-5 MAC) had a nine-point lead late in the fourth set erased by their hosts and actually faced a set point for the Rockets. However, freshman Melissa Kolurbasi delivered crucial kills on consecutive points to put Kent State back in the lead. Freshman Erin Gardner followed with an ace to seal the victory.

Miami 3, Eastern Michigan 2 // Box Score
After dominating the first set it began to look bleak for the Miami University volleyball team as Eastern Michigan came back to take the next two frames. However, the RedHawks held tough to take the fourth set and then fought off three match points in the decider to earn a dramatic 3-2 (25-9, 18-25, 16-25, 25-23, 18-16) win Friday evening. Miami improves to 14-5 overall and 6-1 in the Mid-American Conference. The Eagles fall to 13-8 overall and 5-2 in the MAC.

Northern Illinois 3, Akron 0 // Box Score
Jori Radtke (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) and Meg Wolowicz (Manitowoc, Wis./Manitowoc Lincoln) each had a match-high 17 kills Friday night at the Northern Illinois University volleyball team swept the Akron Zips 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23) at Victor E. Court.
