Missouri sophomore Jaydin Eierman gave Mizzou a win when it needed it the most, pinning two-time defending National Champion Dean Heil in the second period of Mizzou’s 21-19 win over No. 5 Oklahoma State on Jan. 27. Mizzou was trailing the dual, 9-0, when Eierman provided the six-point fall to get Mizzou back in the dual. With the win, Eierman improves to 22-1 on the season, with 17 of his wins coming by bonus points (11 falls, four major decisions, two technical falls). Eierman has defeated six ranked opponents this season, including three in the top-10. In addition to beating Heil, who entered the dual ranked No. 5, Eierman defeated then-No. 1-ranked Yianni Diakomihalis (Cornell), 9-6, on Dec. 30 and then-No. 10-ranked Mason Smith (Central Michigan), 6-0, on Jan. 19.
