University of Akron junior Dara Perry (Akron, Ohio) highlighted the Zips' efforts at the annual Akron-Kent State dual meet on Friday, Jan. 19, at the Kent State Field House winning the women's 60-meter hurdles in a school-record time of 8.42, breaking her own school mark by three one-hundredths of a second.

Bowling Green // Tom Wright Classic - Results
Redshirt senior Aliyah Gustafson broke the school record in the shot put for the sixth time in her career and the Bowling Green State University indoor track & field team won four events in the Tom Wright Open Friday night. BGSU competed against Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Shawnee State at the meet.

With less than half of its team members competing, CMU track and field still managed to make its presence felt at Friday’s Doug Hansen Open hosted by Saginaw Valley State. Central Michigan claimed victories in eight of the 12 field events, with six wins coming from freshmen and sophomores.

Samory Fraga set a program record for the men's long jump in the first event of the meet to set the tone as the Kent State track and field program swept rival Akron in a dual meet on Friday at the Kent State Field House. The men's team won 83-67, while the women's team earned an 88-62 victory.

Miami University track & field saw even more personal bests Saturday in the conclusion of the Gladstein Invitational. “When our main focus is the conference meet at the end of February, when we can open up with PRs or anywhere close to our PRs, it is a good thing,” said Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Tom Chorny.

Western Michigan // Gladstein Invitational - Results
The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up its first two-day meet of the season, competing at Indiana University's Gladstein Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Sophomore Erin Dowd's win in the open 400m run marked the top finish for a Bronco on the weekend. Dowd finished in an indoor personal-best time of 56.43 seconds to beat out Butler's Allie Vogeler by .07 seconds.
