Anthony Tutolo, Kent State—Junior, Concord, Ohio (Lake Catholic High School)
Kent State junior Anthony Tutolo went 4-0 in dual meets this past weekend, helping Kent State to team victories over Campbell and Fresno State. Tutolo avenged a loss from last season’s NCAA Championships, defeating SoCon champion Chris Debien (Chattanooga) 3-2. He also knocked off Campbell’s Nathan Boston (5-2), who was No. 19 in the latest TrackWrestling rankings. Tutolo was one of two Flashes to earn a victory against No. 11 Northern Iowa with a 13-9 decision over Jack Wagner. He also earned a major decision (11-3) over Fresno State’s Trevor Williams.

Armando Torres, Eastern Michigan—Junior, Lorain, Ohio (Elyria Catholic High School)
Eastern Michigan junior Armando Torres had a fantastic showing at the Purple Raider Open, Jan. 15, as he won four matches in a row to win the 133 lbs. crown. The Ohio native had the wrestling version of a cycle, as his four wins came via pin, technical fall, major decision, and a 2-1 decision win in the final bout over Drew Marten of Central Michigan. It was the first tournament title of Torres' Eastern Michigan career.
Alijah Jeffery, Northern Illinois—Junior, Marion, Iowa (Linn-mar High School)
Northern Illinois junior Alijah Jeffery performed well at the SIU-Edwardsville Tri-meet last weekend. Jeffery defeated both of his opponents via pin falls. Against The Citadel, Jeffery defeated Nicholas Long via a first round pin fall at 2:44. Against SIU-Edwardsville, Jeffery defeated Joe Antonelli in a first round pin fall at 1:36. The Huskie redshirt-junior is 14-7 this season and is the active leader on the team in career wins with 65.
Cameron Kelly, Ohio—Junior, Bellbrook, Ohio (Bellbrook High School)
Ohio junior Cameron Kelly is currently 17-3 and ranked No. 14 at 133 lbs. after he added another win over the weekend in Ohio’s matchup with VMI. Kelly would help lead Ohio to a 37-6 victory over VMI on Saturday in his match against Hunter Starner. Kelly would earn a quick takedown to start the match for a 2-0 lead before Starner earned a one-point escape. Kelly would add to his lead with another takedown in the first period before he would take the victory in the first period with a pin for a win by fall in 2:05.
