ESPN Annouces Dates and Times for Bowl Games
MAC to play in four primary bowl games plus potential of secondary bowl games
ESPN will televise more than 35 college football bowl games this upcoming December and January, once again solidifying itself as the home of post-season college football.
ESPN's industry-leading slate starts with five bowls on Saturday, Dec. 16, resumes on Tuesday, Dec. 19 and will continue almost daily for the next 13 days. In that time period, ESPN will televise multiple games per day regularly, including three games on five different days, four games on Saturday, Dec. 30, and five games on Monday, Jan. 1. ESPN’s bowl schedule and the college football season will conclude with the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T (8 p.m.) on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018.
The College Football Playoff Semifinals will be a part of ESPN’s January 1 schedule, with the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual beginning at 5 p.m. and College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl starting at 8:45 p.m. The entire New Year’s Six and the CFP National Championship will air on ESPN.

2017 MAC Primary Bowl Games
Raycom Media Camellia Bowl
The fourth annual Raycom Media Camellia Bowl will be played on Saturday, Dec. 16, from historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. The 8 p.m. game on ESPN and ESPN Radio will match teams from the Mid-American Conference against the Sun Belt Conference.
Bahamas Bowl
In its fourth year and third as an ESPN Events owned and operated game, the Bahamas Bowl will be played on Friday, Dec. 22, at 12:30 p.m. on ESPN. The game will be played at Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau and features teams from the Mid-American Conference and Conference USA.
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
The 21st annual Famous Idaho Potato Bowl – slated for Friday, Dec. 22, at 4 p.m. on ESPN – will be held at Boise State University’s Albertsons Stadium. The game will feature teams from the Mid-American Conference versus the Mountain West.
Dollar General Bowl
The 19th annual Dollar General Bowl will be played on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at 6 pm (CT) and will be nationally televised on ESPN. Played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the game pits top-selected teams from the Mid-American Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.
2017 MAC Secondary Bowl Games
Boca Raton Bowl
The fourth edition of the Boca Raton Bowl is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN Radio, from FAU Stadium on the campus of Florida Atlantic University. The Mid-American Conference, Conference USA and American Athletic Conference are the affiliated conferences for the Boca Raton Bowl.
St. Petersburg Bowl
The 10th annual St. Petersburg Bowl will be played Thursday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Conference tie-ins this season for the St. Petersburg Bowl will showcase the American Athletic Conference against Conference USA from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Mid-American Conference will provide a backup to this bowl game if necessary.
Quick Lane Bowl
The annual Quick Lane Bowl will be played on Tuesday, Dec. 26 at a time TBA on ESPN. The game will feature a team from the Big Ten Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference, as the Mid-American Conference will provide a backup to this bowl game if necessary.
