UB's Dillard and NIU's Starks Named WBB Players of the Week
East Division
Cierra Dillard, Buffalo, Guard
Junior – Rochester, NY/Gates Chili
Junior shooting guard Cierra Dillard had her best all-around game of her UB career on Friday night as she helped UB earn their first win on the road at St. Bonaventure since 1975 as they claimed the 76-59 win. Dillard was exceptional on Friday night as she finished off her first career double-double with 14 points, a career-high 10 assists, seven rebounds and three steals across 33 minutes. The junior finished her night going 5-for-10 from the floor while lifting UB to their fourth straight win. On the season, Dillard ranks 10th in the NCAA in steals per game (3.6) while also averaging a team-high 13.4 points, 4.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds during the Bulls 8-1 start.
West Division
Myia Starks, Northern Illinois, Guard
Sophomore – Oswego, Ill./Neuqua Valley
Myia Starks scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Huskies to an 86-75 victory over in-state foe SIUE Sunday. The 5-4 guard shot 63.6 percent from the field, going 7-of-11, which are career highs for both field goals made and attempts. Eleven of her team-high 25 points came from the free throw line. Starks went 11-of-12 from the charity stripe, also a career best. Additionally, she tied her career high in assists with seven and established a new career high in steals with six.

Amani Burke, Ohio, Guard
Sophomore – Columbus, Ohio/Eastmoor Academy
Sophomore guard led Ohio during the weekend at the West Palm Invitational. Burke averaged 15.0 points per game, to go along with her 1.5 rebounds a contest. She shot 10--of-23 from the field, 7-of-15 from three-point range and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. She dished out one assist and had three steals for Ohio.
Sasha Dailey, Eastern Michigan, Guard
Senior – Toledo, Ohio/Rogers
Senior Sasha Dailey turned in her best all-around performance of the season to lead EMU to a win over Detroit Mercy, Dec. 17. With the win, the Eagles snapped a seven-game losing skid and recorded their first road victory since Nov. 29, 2016. The Toledo, Ohio native tied a season-high with 18 points, while adding in six rebounds, six steals, and two assists. Her six swipes were the most by an Eagle this season and put her over 200 for her career, while also led EMU's to its highest steal count since the 2004 season as the Green and White turned UDM over a season-high 32 times. Additionally, it was the third straight game in which she has finished with double-digit scoring, as well as the fifth in the past six games, as she has seen her points per game average rise to 10.4.
Kaayla McIntyre, Toledo, Center
Junior – Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame Academy
Junior Kaayla McIntyre paced UT with 16 points, nine boards and a season-high five blocked shots vs. Western Kentucky on Sunday in the first round of the West Palm Invitational. McIntyre knocked down 5-of-9 shots from the floor and a collegiate-best 6-of-6 from the free throw line in a career-high 37 minutes to score in double figures for a career-best seventh-straight game. McIntyre has now led the Rockets in scoring in four-consecutive contests and a team-high five times overall this season. With Sunday's effort against the Lady Toppers, McIntyre moved into a tie for fifth place in school history with 75 career rejections with Lisa Johnson (2006-10).
Breanna Mobley, Western Michigan, Forward
Junior – Lansing, Mich./Lansing Waverly
Western Michigan's Breanna Mobley continued her strong season on Friday night, posting her second consecutive double-double and fifth of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Kentucky State in just 21 minutes. The forward shot a solid 63.6 percent from the court (7-of-11) including a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. Highlighting the night, the junior nearly missed out on the double-double in the first half with 10 points and nine rebounds as the Broncos defeated the Thorobretttes 85-50.
Tinara Moore, Central Michigan, Forward
Senior – Southgate, Mich./Southgate Anderson
Central Michigan dropped to 8-2 overall after falling 64-61 to Duquesne on Sunday, Dec. 17 in Pittsburgh. Senior Tinara Moore led the Chippewas with 21 points and nine rebounds in 26 minutes of play. She went 8-of-14 (57.1%) from the floor and 4-of-5 (80.0%) from the free throw line. Moore scored the first 10 points of the game against the Dukes. The Southgate, Mich. native ranks second on the team averaging 15.7 points per game, while shooting 58.6 percent (58-of-99) from the floor. Moore leads the Mid-American Conference with 18 blocks (1.8 bpg).
Megan Sefcik, Akron, Guard
Junior – Austintown, Ohio/Austintown Fitch
Redshirt junior guard Megan Sefcik (Austintown, Ohio) broke the Akron women's basketball program record for most three-pointers in a single-game, 10, and scored a career-best 32 points as the Zips rolled to a 93-33 victory over Ohio Christian on Dec. 16 Sefcik found herself with the hot hand going 11-of-19 from the floor, with 10 of her made field goals coming from beyond the arc, which broke the program record. To go along with breaking a school record, Sefcik also tied the Mid-American Conference record for three-pointers in a single-game and beat her previous career-mark of 20 points with her 32 points, two rebound, two assists, two blocks, and two steal performance.
