Justin Oliver, Central Michigan—Junior, Davison, Mich. (Davison High School)
Central Michigan junior Justin Oliver went 4-0 to win his weight class in the open division at the Michigan State Open. Oliver opened with a 16-1 technical fall over Gabe Grahek of Wisconsin, then downed Dom Demas of Oklahoma, 11-7. Oliver topped Davion Jeffries, also of Oklahoma, 10-3, in a semifinal match. In the title match, Oliver took a 4-3 decision from Ryan Deakin of Northwestern. Oliver is ranked seventh nationally, while Deakin is ranked 12th.

Kayne MacCallum, Eastern Michigan—Junior, Green Oaks, Ill. (Libertyville High School)
Eastern Michigan junior Kayne MacCallum had a perfect 3-0 weekend at 174 lbs., helping the Eagles to a 2-1 start in dual action. In his season opener, MacCallum did not give up a single point in a 6-0 decision victory against Gardner-Webb. The veteran followed that up with a 13-1 major decision win to seal a dual win over American. He capped the perfect weekend with a 6-2 decision bout win over Campbell.
Casey Sparkman, Kent State—Junior, Massillon, Ohio (Massillon Perry High School)
Kent State junior Casey Sparkman went 8-1 on the weekend and 3-0 in dual meets. Kent State finished 3-0 in duals Friday as Sparkman had tech fall victories against opponents from Utah Valley (22-7), Lake Erie (19-4) and Mercyhurst North East (19-4). On Sunday, Sparkman placed second at the Clarion Open, going 5-1 with two major decisions. Sparkman defeated opponents from Penn State, Lock Haven, Buffalo and two from Cleveland State. He is currently ranked No. 18 by InterMat.
