Daniel Lewis, Missouri—Junior, Blue Springs, Mo. (Blue Springs High School)
Missouri junior Daniel Lewis rolled through the competition at the Lindenwood Open last weekend, recording three wins with bonus points before defeating No. 7-ranked Yoanse Mejias (Oklahoma), 6-0, in the finals to claim the title at 174 pounds. In the opening rounds, Lewis recorded first period falls in the first round and semifinals, as well as a second round 10-0 major decision. Lewis, a two-time All-American, has now produced bonus point victories in 69.2 percent (45-of-65) of his career victories, including 23 falls and 16 major decisions. The Tiger junior will look to enter the top-10 ranks in program history in those categories this year, as he will need just three more falls and six more major decisions to join the top-10 list.

Mason Smith, Central Michigan—Sophomore, Clio, Mich. (Clio High School)
Central Michigan sophomore Mason Smith was 2-0 in two dual meets, winning by a combined 21-0. Smith opened the weekend with a 15-0 technical fall at 2:50 over Alex Hrisopoulos of Michigan State, and closed with a 6-0 victory over Brent Moore of Virginia Tech on Sunday. Smith posted one of the Chippewas’ two victories against the Hokies. Smith is ranked 18th in his weight class by Amateur Wrestling News, one of three sophomores in the top 20. He is 6-1 on the season with two technical falls.
Noah Gonser, Central Michigan—Sophomore, Grand Blanc, Mich. (Grand Blanc High School)
Eastern Michigan sophomore Noah Gonser went 4-1 at the prestigious Keystone Classic on Sunday, Nov. 19, to take second place at 133 lbs. Gonser started 4-0, including a major decision and a pin in 1:50 to get to the finals. In the finals, he dropped a thrilling 26-12 decision to claim second place for the second consecutive year at the Keystone. Gonser is now 5-2 to start his sophomore season.
Cameron Kelly, Ohio—Junior, Bellbrook, Ohio (Bellbrook High School)
Ohio junior Cameron Kelly went 4-1 at the Navy Classic last weekend to finish second at 133 lb. Kelly started the day with a win by fall in 1:44 over George Mason's Trevor Mello. In the next round, Kelly would post an 18-2 technical fall win in 2:56 over Brown's Zeke Salvo. In the quarterfinals match, Kelly would earn a 4-7 win by decision over No. 22 Purdue's Ben Thornton. Kelly then posted a 12-2 major decision win over Indiana's Garrett Pepple to move on to the final match against American's Josh Terao where Kelly would suffer a 4-3 decision loss, giving him the second-place finish on the day. Kelly is currently ranked 18th in the 133-class in the NCAA according to InterMat rankings which were released on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
