Korinek and Woods Named Women's Basketball Players of the Week
East Division
Jordan Korinek, Kent State, Forward
Senior – Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary
Jordan Korinek continued an outstanding start to her senior season by averaging 20.0 points on nearly 60 percent shooting from the floor while converting nearly 95 percent of her free throw attempts over three games. In Kent State’s final game of the week, Korinek scored a career-high 31 points on 9-for-13 shooting and 13-for-14 at the foul line and grabbed seven rebounds in an 81-60 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. Limited to just 20 minutes Friday afternoon against CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll #4 Florida Gulf Coast, she had a game-high 19 points and added five boards. Korinek climbed two spots on Kent State’s career scoring list during the week and now ranks 17th with 1,231 points.
West Division
Courtney Woods, Northern Illinois, Forward
Junior – Brisbane, Australia/St. Margaret’s Anglican School
Courtney Woods averaged 29.5 points and nine rebounds in two games last week. The Brisbane, Australian native posted her first double-double of the season scoring a career-high 39 points and hauling in 11 rebounds as she powered NIU past in-state rival Western Illinois as the Huskies rallied for a 96-94 win over the Leathernecks. Woods was 12-of-20 from the field, including 6-of-12 from three-point territory. Three of Woods' threes came in the fourth quarter as she keyed the Huskie rally. The NIU junior was also 9-of-10 from the free throw line. Wood's double-digit scoring effort was her second of the week. She scored a team-high 20 points in a losing effort at Iowa on Wednesday night.

Cierra Hooks, Ohio, Guard
Freshman – Dayton, Ohio/Thurgood Marshall
Freshman guard Cierra Hooks led Ohio on Thursday against Notre Dame College. Coming off the bench, Hooks scored 17 points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists and registered five steals in the Bobcats' 93-37 victory. Hooks went 6-of-9 (.667) and 5-of-6 (.834) from the free throw line in her 23 minutes of action on the court. Hooks' performance was a part of a game that saw the Bobcats' bench score 50 points and a Bobcats' squad that set a new single game record in steals, registering 25 steals in the process.
Presley Hudson, Central Michigan, Guard
Junior – Wayland, Mich./Wayland Union
Junior guard Presley Hudson led the Chippewas to a 2-0 record last week as CMU defeated Vanderbilt, 92-75, on Nov. 14 and College the Charleston, 79-58, on Nov. 17. Central Michigan is 2-1 overall after the first two weeks of play. Hudson averaged 24.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists between both games. The Wayland, Mich. native went 15-of-35 (.429) from the floor and shot 45.5 percent (10-of-22) beyond the arc. The 5-foot-6 guard recorded 21 points, six rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes on the court versus the Commodores. Hudson then led the Chippewas with 27 points, including seven triples, with five assists and five rebounds against the Cougars. Hudson leads the team and ranks second in the Mid-American Conference averaging 23.0 points per game. The junior leads the conference in triples per game with 4.7 and ranks 24th in CMU program history with 1,065 career points.
Moriah Monaco, Ball State, Forward
Senior – Dover, Ohio/Dover
Moncao led all scorers against Missouri State with 21-points on Monday and registered 13 against Lipscomb Wednesday, helping the Cardinals start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2006-07. Monaco now has 1,120 points for her career and leads Ball State in scoring averaging 17.3 points per game.
Haley Puk, Bowling Green, Forward
Senior – Waterloo, Iowa/Waterloo West
Bowling Green senior wing Haley Puk averaged a team-high 13.0 points, along with 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists, as the Falcons went 2-1 last week. Puk and the Falcons picked up road wins over Detroit Mercy and Robert Morris before seeing a 3-0 start to the season come to an end with a loss to Canisius. Puk had eight points and three assists at UDM, then exploded for a career-high 26 points in the Falcons' win at Robert Morris. She had set a new career best by halftime, with 17 first-half points in that win. Puk went 6-of-11 from the field and hit a pair of three-pointers, but she did much of her damage at the free-throw line. She was 12-for-14 from the stripe, topping the totals for the entire RMU team in both free throws made and attempted. In that win, Puk had 11 of her points in the first quarter alone, going 5-for-5 at the free-throw line over a 37-second span, then hitting two triples just over a minute apart. On the season, Puk is averaging 12.5 ppg to rank second on the team. She is tied for the BG lead in three-pointers made (7) and is second on the Falcons in assists and third in steals. BG is 3-1 heading into a pair of games in Boca Raton, Fla., over Thanksgiving weekend.
Haliegh Reinoehl, Akron, Forward
Sophomore – Westfield, Ind./Westfield
Haliegh Reinoehl's career night led the Zips to their first victory of the season over Southeastern Louisiana, 66-54. In the contest, Reinoehl recorded her first collegiate double-double with a career-high 21 points, and 11 rebounds, one shy of her career mark. the Zips forward shot 6-of-11 from the field, 8-of-9 from the free throw line, and five of her 11 rebounds came on the offensive glass. Against the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, Reinoehl scored three points, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded a blocked shot.
Jasmyn Walker, Western Michigan, Forward
R-Junior – Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores
Western Michigan’s redshirt junior forward Jasmyn Walker poured in a career-high and game-high 20 points in the Broncos’ 65-47 win at Loyola-Chicago on Wednesday evening. The transfer went 8-for-12 from the field while single handedly scoring nine points in the first quarter, as many points as Loyola’s team combined. The versatile forward also grabbed two rebounds, dished out two assists and tallied a career-high two blocks. Following her strong performance, Walker followed it up by adding seven points at Iowa, who entered the contest receiving votes in this past week’s AP Top-25 Poll, on Sunday afternoon. She scored all of her points in the third quarter going 3-for-4 while grabbing an offensive rebound to go along with six defensive rebounds in the game. After two games, Walker averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks, shooting 55 percent (11-of-20) including 3-for-8 from three-point land.
