TOLEDO, Ohio -- Tre'Shaun Fletcher had 27 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as Toledo battled to get past Division III Ohio Northern 72-62 on Tuesday night.

Fletcher was 10 of 17 from the floor while dropping in 5 of 6 free throw attempts. Nate Navigato added 18 points and Luke Knapke chipped in nine points while hauling down 11 rebounds and Jaelan Sanford added 13 points.

Toledo (2-0) led 36-35 at the half and started the second period strong as Fletcher drilled a 3, Knapke followed with a dunk and Marreon Jackson nailed a 3-pointer for a 44-35 lead. The Polar Bears stayed close and pulled to within 64-62 following a Daniel Donner 3-pointer at the 3:19 mark. Navigato answered with a trey and the Rockets made five free throws to seal the win.

Nate Burger led Ohio Northern with 23 points and Ryan Bruns added 15 with 12 rebounds.

OXFORD, Ohio -- Nike Sibande scored 17 points and Darrian Ringo scored 10 and distributed 10 assists and Miami never trailed in overtime to beat Wright State 73-67 on Tuesday.

The Redhawks' Rod Mills Jr. sandwiched a pair of 3-pointers between one from Wright State's Grant Benzinger for a 69-66 lead and Miami (2-0) led the rest of the way.

Ringo made a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left in regulation to make it 63-all. Before that, the Raiders' Tye Wilburn made one of two free throws to give Wright State (0-2) a 63-61 advantage.

With 3:48 remaining in the second half, Everett Winchester's jump shot gave Wright State a 61-53 lead before Sibande and Mills each made a 3, and Ringo hit a jumper to tie it at 61 with 87 seconds left.

Mark Hughes led the Raiders with 14 points and Loudon Love had 13 points and 12 rebounds.


Northern Illinois 85, Green Bay 65

DEKALB, Ill. --  Levi Bradley scored 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting, Eugene German scored 21 points and collected nine rebounds and Northern Illinois put together an 85-65 win over Green Bay on Tuesday night in the season opener for both teams.
Dante Thorpe contributed 14 points and Lacey James scored 10 and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Huskies.

German made an early jumper to put the Huskies up 10-3 before Green Bay used a 14-2 run and led by five after Trevian Bell's 3 with 10:58 left before halftime. But Thorpe and Justin Thomas each made 3s, Thorpe added a layup and Northern Illinois never trailed again. The Huskies led 42-29 at halftime.

The Phoenix made it interesting over the first 12 minutes of the second half and cut the deficit to 51-49 but couldn't get closer.
Khalil Small led Green Bay with 13 points but he was 2 for 14 from the field to go along with 10 rebounds. Bell had 12 points and T.J. Parham and Manny Patterson each scored 11 for the Phoenix.
