Freshman Riley Kwiatkowski led the Rockets with an 18:39.3 in the EMU Fall Classic. Kwiatkowski finished in 12th place in the 5k event. In her second 5k event in the Midnight Blue & Gold, Kwiatkowski broke her career-best time by over 15 seconds. Her previous best was a 18:55.0 in the ISU Country Financial Invitational.

Freshman Zach Young led the way for the Eagles in their last event of the regular season, finishing with a team-best 22nd place Friday, Oct. 20, at the EMU Fall Classic in Dexter, Mich. His 5k time of 16:02.3 is 29 seconds faster than the 16:31.3 he marked in the first meet of the season, the Michigan Open, which is hosted at the same course (Hudson Mills Metropark). Overall, Young put together an impressive freshman regular season, posting team-best finishes in three meets, as well as the team’s second-best performance at the Spartan Invitational.
