MAC Announces Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Player of the Week
Skye Harter, Akron
Midfield
Sophomore (R)
Copley, Ohio
Akron redshirt sophomore Skye Harter turned in a strong week for the Zips registering a goal and three assists en route to sparking Akron to a pair of victories. In the Zips' 2-0 win over Cleveland State on Oct. 10, Harter got the scoring started for Akron just 52 seconds into the match corralling a defensive miscue by the Vikings in the box and delivering his first goal of the season to give the Zips a 1-0 advantage. The tally was a game-winner. In Akron's 3-1 league triumph past SIU Edwardsville on Oct. 13, Harter earned assists on each of the Zips' three goals in the victory. The three assists marked the first time since Gainford posted a trio of helpers against Ohio State on Sept. 16, 2015, that a Zips' player has record three assists in a game.
