Toledo quarterback threw for school-record 505 yards and five TDs vs. BYU
Toledo, OH – Toledo junior quarterback Logan Woodside (Frankfort, KY) was named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar of the Week for his performance in Toledo’s 55-53 loss at BYU on Friday, Sept. 30.
Woodside, a marketing major who has a 3.419 grade point average, completed a career-best 30-of-38 passes for a school-record 505 yards and a collegiate-tying best five touchdowns against the Cougars. Woodside's total of 505 yards passing tied for the seventh-most yards in a game in MAC history. Woodside has 16 TD passes for the season and has thrown at least four TD passes in each of the last three games. Woodside's five TD tosses are tied for third most in school history in a single game. Woodside leads the nation in passing efficiency (207.6).
The Rockets (3-1, 0-0 MAC) open Mid-American Conference play this Saturday at Eastern Michigan (4-1, 1-0 MAC).
