Mid-American Conference

As the NFL opens the 2014 regular season, the Mid-American Conference is well represented across NFL rosters.  Currently there are 74 former MAC players on NFL rosters.

From last year's NFL Draft, eight MAC players were selected overall including two first round draft selections with No. 5 overall LB Khalil Mack (Buffalo) to the Oakland Raiders and No. 30 overall DB Jimmie Ward (Northern Illinois) to the San Francisco 49ers for only the second time in league history.  

Also, beyond the eight players drafted, another seven undrafted players made NFL rosters including LB Jayrone Elliott (Toledo) in Green Bay, RB Zurlon Tipton (Central Michigan) in Indianapolis, RB Branden Oliver (Buffalo) in San Diego, TE Alex Bayer (Bowling Green) in St. Louis and practice squad assignments for WR Bernard Reedy (Toledo) in Atlanta, WR Donte Foster (Ohio) and OL Zac Kerin (Toledo) in Minnesota.
